Plantronics Named ‘Best Place to Work’ in Mexico
SANTA CRUZ, Calif., April 28, 2011 - Plantronics (NYSE: PLT) today announced that Plamex, the company’s manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico, has been named the “Best Place to Work” in Mexico by the Great Place to Work Institute - a distinction that further validates the facility’s long-standing reputation as an exemplary business entity in the region.
The Great Place to Work Institute defines a great place to work as “a place in which you trust the people you work for, have pride in what you do, and enjoy the people you interact with.” Employees from more than 500 companies participated in the Great Place to Work Institute’s survey that ranks companies based on credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie. In addition to winning the coveted ‘Best Place to Work’ distinction, Plamex also received special recognition for scoring the highest in the “credibility” dimension versus the other companies surveyed.
Alejandro Bustamante, president of Plamex, accepted the award on behalf of the company. “It’s extremely gratifying to be chosen as the best place to work in Mexico based on our own associates’ feedback,” said Bustamante. “Our corporate environment was built on a foundation of mutual respect and employee empowerment, and this designation clearly reflects that those principles are still solidly in place and appreciated.”
