Plantronics Mexico Wins Mexico’s 2009 National Logistics Award
Santa Cruz, Calif. — July 1, 2009 — Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) announced today that Plantronics Mexico (PLAMEX), its internationally acclaimed manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Mexico, won Mexico’s 2009 National Logistics Award in the big industrial category (more than 250 employees). Mexico’s National Logistics award is granted to organizations that have implemented best logistics practices to boost competitiveness through improved customer satisfaction, supply chain innovation, human resources development and care for the environment.
Plantronics Mexico was selected among more than 160 companies by a technical committee that included representation from Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, the Industrial and Education sector and Logistics chamber. PLAMEX was recognized for its world class human resources development programs and advanced logistics practices that have improved the company’s competitiveness.
