Plantronics Appoints New Marketing Director
Ex-Hewlett Packard marketing manager to lead aggressive marketing push for headset manufacturer
London - March 14th 2005 - Plantronics has appointed Pau Virgili as new marketing director. Prior to joining the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of communications headsets, Pau has been the EMEA marketing manager (consumer business) for Hewlett Packard for the last seven years.
Pau’s professional background is mainly based in the fast moving consumer goods industry. Having graduated with a degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from New York University and holding an MBA from The University of Chicago, he spent a significant part of his career as managing partner for Summa, a Spanish based brand strategy consultancy. There he was responsible for brands such as Coca Cola, Nike and Levi’s.
Paul Clark, Pau’s predecessor is now heading up Plantronics Product Management division for EMEA.
“With Pau we now have a team of first-class executives on board to support our portfolio of headsets, drive the brand and firmly establish the headset category amongst consumers and businesses alike,” comments Plantronics EMEA managing director, Philip Vanhoutte on the appointment.
