Plantrocare™ – Plantronics launch unique portfolio of service offerings for contact centres

Swindon, UK. - HANOVER, GERMANY – CeBIT – March 18 2004 – A new range of services, to help Contact Centres better manage their headsets, is being launched by Plantronics and has been developed to simplify headset management.

PlantroCare™, evolved by working with the Plantronics User Council, a group of key influencers in the Contact Centre industry, who requested further assistance in purchasing and safeguarding their headsets. This has become even more important with recent regulatory changes covering health and safety and employee welfare, along with the need for Contact Centre managers to continually improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The PlantroCare portfolio of services is available across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and includes:

· Noise Exposure Testing. This service helps managers ensure their Contact Centre complies with the new European Noise at Work Regulations, and is a specialist test that determines the exact noise exposure as experienced by the individual agents, by taking measurements through the headset and including the ambient background noise. A report provides the test results and compares them to the Directive requirements and provides recommendations.

- √ - BOX , is a new handheld device that provides instant confirmation that the acoustic limiting devices in a Plantronics headset are operating correctly, proving compliance with the health and safety regulations.
Enhanced Service and Repair offers, like “Headset Holiday”, gives the option to refresh headsets during quieter times of Contact Centre operation, ensuring Plantronics equipment is kept at peak performance.

- Advance Replacement service ensures that the safety stock levels are kept under control providing a quick 24-hour turnaround on replacement stock.

- Headset Leasing, a bespoke programme giving individual contact centres the freedom to lease headsets on a short or long term basis for a fixed monthly fee.

Each service is available separately or as part of a programme tailored to the specific requirements of today’s Contact Centre manager.

Neil Salton, EMEA marketing manager at Plantronics, says: “We were the first headset manufacturer in the world to offer a 48 hr turnaround for repair on our headsets, and based on the fantastic response from customers we dedicated resource to growing our service offerings. This new service package reflects both our leadership within the industry and our continued commitment to providing the best possible levels of customer service.” He adds: “Efficient headset maintenance and management is vital in today’s contact centre and our commitment to support managers and employees alike, is second to none.”
