Designboom announces call for entries in sound innovation design competition
Designboom partner with Plantronics and Altec Lansing to run design competition with $10,000 prize
London, 21st July 2008, Designboom has today announced its latest design competition sponsored by Plantronics and Altec Lansing, tapping into the imaginations of designers from across the globe. The competition is split into two categories, giving designers the opportunity to enter either one or both for a winning prize of $5,000 in each.
Plantronics has pioneered the design of beautiful Bluetooth headsets and has recently launched a celebrity-acclaimed, jewel-inspired earpiece, the Discovery 925. The company is inviting designers to take this theme further and develop a concept Bluetooth headset that is both futuristically fashionable and desirable to wear.
Altec Lansing created the first cinema speakers in the 1920s and has continued to innovate, by designing and manufacturing award winning iPod and MP3 speaker systems, PC speakers, home audio and headphones. Altec Lansing is inviting speaker designs that unleash and enhance a digital music lifestyle.
