Plantronics brings wireless freedom to DECT phone users

Swindon, UK. - HANOVER, GERMANY – CeBIT – March 18 2004 – Plantronics, the world’s leading provider of lightweight communications headsets, today announced the launch of the stylish C65 wireless headset. The C65 is headset is designed for use in SME (Small to Medium Enterprises) and SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) and used in conjunction with an existing DECTÔ cordless telephone.

C65 users simply register the headset with their existing GAP DECTÔ telephones, and they then have the freedom to move up to 100m away from their desk, or telephone base, whilst still being able to take calls. The C65 is a fully wireless solution that combines excellent sound quality with a small, discreet and lightweight headset.

With a choice of three wearing styles, a headband, Plantronics unique behind-the-head neckband, or with a simple earloop, the C65 can be worn comfortably throughout the working day. Stylish and discreet, the C65 has up to nine hours talk time and weighs less than 28 grams. It includes a noise-cancelling microphone that delivers clear, crisp conversation by minimising the background noise, making it ideal for both busy offices and home environments.

The C65 comes complete with its own fast charger, which also acts as a handy storage unit for the headset when it’s not in use. Automatically detecting when you are about to go out of range of the base unit, the C65 provides a warning beep in the headset. If you do go out of range, the call is placed on hold until the user returns within range.

The C65 is priced £124.95 and will available from Spring 2004.
